I guess 243winxb thought he was the oldest carbon base life form on the planet. ;) And some of my 30-30 brass is over 30 years old and still being reloaded. ;D

just for fun down load to high end of 30 30 speed and shot a bob cat and see what it will do i was told the same on deer can see all the way throw i was told maybe funing me but cat did not think so any time they go bang is fun wish i could shoot with you all but you are way out of my league but love to watch

over the last few years I've used a lot of Nosler Custom Competition .308 bullets that have a .307" dimension for most of the bearing surface and then, right at the junction of boat tail and bearing surface it reads .308". Kind of a ring not more than .020" wide. Strange but they shot OK. All my Lapua and Sierra bullets measured .308 for the full length of the bearing surface.
