Weaver Super Slam: Discontinued...?

Prevailing knowledge is that the Super Slam scopes have been discontinued for some time now. Yet Weaver’s site still lists the scopes. Anyone know the situation?

That is the first I’m hearing of that. I see them on sale at Natchez in their sale catalogs.
I have a couple of them and the glass is very good.

Yes they were discontinued a while back & Natchez has been liquidating them for some time. Weaver replaced them with the Grandslam series which I don't like as much. I have close to a dozen of the SSlams as they are pretty solid, I love the pull up lock turrets, and I got them for next to nothing. Weaver has not updated their website in quite some time, frankly speaking it sucks. I actually thought they were going out of business because of the slow website and discontinuing one of their top lines.

Now it appears that the Classic V series is discontinued. What’s going on?

Weaver is out of the scope business now, at least the optics portion.
They are, for now anyway, still producing rings and bases.

I think rings and bases are done too. What is out there was in their inventory.

I was not a fan of their pistol scope but it looks like those are gone along with the Bushnell line of pistol scopes.

Vista Outdoors purchased them and they own bushnell also I guess they would rather sale bushnell!

I have not heard that about Weaver selling out or going out of business. If true, sad, I have some Grand Slam scopes and they are a fine product.
Also, sad in that how many of us, probably started out, many years back, with the old weaver 4x as our first scope on our big game rifles.

Vista has put Weaver on the back burner for now. Bushnell will be handling the service work and or replacement of Weaver scopes. Very sad!!
