Nitrex scope bargains

Hello Folks, I've monitored this site for sometime now and this is my first post.

Thought I'd mention Natchez Shooters Supply has some pretty good bargains on Nitrex TR1 and TR2 rifle scopes. For those unfamiliar with Nitrex, its a brand that's not been around long and owned by ATK. ATK also owns Weaver.

I suspect the Nitrex TR1 models are same as Weaver Grand Slam and the TR2s are the Weaver Super Slam.

Not that long ago ATK had the Federal Intensity line of scopes for a short while, but discontinued this brand.......but same scope was the Weaver 40/44. You could buy the Intensity scopes for less than half the price of the Weavers. If you have an Intensity and return it for warranty, and if ATK replaces the scope, it will be with a Weaver.

Nitrex also has a rebate program on their TR1s ($50 rebate) and TR2s ($100) rebate.

So, yesterday I ordered a Nitrex TR2 model 3-15X42 SF from Natchez. Scope has a MRSP of around $570 that Natchez has discounted price to $300. SWFA has same Nitrex scope, but different reticle, priced at $440. Weaver Super Slam version of this scope Sells for about $480 at Natchez and $520 at SWFA.

After rebate and Natchez shipping is considered my Nitrex scope will cost me $218. If you bought it from SWFA, then it'd be around $340

Quite a variety of Nitrex TR1 and TR2 models to choose from at Natchez.

Received the Nitrex TR2 3-15x42 SF scope and mounted it on a 7mm-08 rifle. Went to range I'm a member of to sight in scope and have some of the guys I regularly shoot with about every Sunday evaluate it.

Asked 5 guys who are pretty much only Leopold, Nikon, Burris, Zeiss and etc. scope users to sit behind my rifle at bench and play with its adjustments and view my 100 yard target and the 200 yard berm beyond it. All are experienced hunters, reloaders and have some pricey hunting and/or benchrest custom rifles to shoot. Thought they could give a good assessment of the Nitrex.

Each one had nothing but positive things to say about it features, adjustments and etc. All thought the Nitrex's optics equal to their scopes when it came to clarity from edge to edge, brightness and etc.
One guy summed up what I thought when I first checked out the scope after receiving it. "If it holds up, has no internal problems, then its a heck of a scope for a heck of a price.
