I was pondering a Weaver purchase today and wanted to check country of mfr, so aGoogling l went.
Weaver disc scope production in '19.
ATK owns RCBS, Weaver, Bushnell, Simmons and a host of other mfrs. I'm sure not new news to many.
On one site, repair of Weaver was mentioned. LSS, Bush used to repair but now offer an exchange for a Bushie at a supposed good rate. Not honoring any warranty other than the exchange "deal".
Also mentioned was Iron Site in Tulsa, a repair outfit.
I called lron Site and was advised that the model Wvr l was contemplating was non repairable for lack of parts. They do do reticle changes. She said they were the only independent scope repair in the US. They are also 5-8 months out.
Just a state of the scope repair union statement.
I need an EER for my "new" XP.
