Vista Outdoors Customer Service

I recently had to send in an older Weaver Euro Super Slam that wouldn't hold zero, all repairs are now done thru their Bushnell service center. They were excellent in email communication and within a couple weeks had notified me that they no longer had parts to repair it. Kinda what I thought when I sent it in but was hoping because of the excellent glass on it. They asked me to call a phone # at my convenience and after giving her my service tag# she offered me a couple choices of scopes to replace it. Bear in mind this scope is probably 20 years old but not beat up. I received my new Bushnell Match Pro 6 x 24 this week, mounted it on a rifle to proof test and found the glass to be much better than expected. The scope tracked perfectly thru all adjustments and held zero. 2 thumbs up to Vista.

I am happy for ya, though I will say your darn lucky.
I have been a Bausch and Lomb/Bushnell fan for a long time. When they first got there act together way back, they offered some pretty top notch glass. Management and bean counters got involved, they left Japan and have went down hill since.

I have a Match Pro, fairly decent optic, I think the price is high for what ya get. There are other chicom optics out there that are a better buy. They have went back and are now selling on the old models hoping that will sell a way lesser quality item.
FYI they do not repair any except the top end line.

I hope they continue to honor the old warranties as they did for you.

They are making it up on primers premium price.

While their prices have certainly gone up as supplies increased in cost, you aren't buying direct but thru a distributor and then more than likely a dealer. Those are the people you should be looking at the hardest. I had a call from a distributor a week ago offering me large rifle primers for $136 a k. I'll guarantee you CCI didn't charge him $100. Told him to pack sand.
