Big balance sheets attract lawsuits. These companies were small 20 years ago for that reason. They became enormously profitable during the Obama years and attracted private equity which engaged in consolidation and mergers with sporting goods in general. This led to big balance sheets. The cycle is running in reverse now.

Czechoslovak Group's (CSG) deal for 70% of small-calibre ammunition maker Fiocchi Munizioni valued the Italian firm in the "high hundreds of millions of euros", said CSG owner Michal Strnad, adding CSG was on the lookout for more acquisitions.

It's disappointing even tho I don't care for Vista.
The fact that ammo production is changing from an American publicly traded company to a foreign privately held company seems bad to me.

Could be a good thing though since now it won't be driven by share
holder profit. A private entity wants it's own profit and will cater more
directly......However this can skirt monopoly and anti trust laws. Either
way, it's wait and see.

They didn't get rid of Vanderbrink, that scares me right off the bat. CZ now owns Colt and I saw that as completely positive. Colt cared nothing about civilian gun owners until they lost all military contracts, then they wanted to wave the flag and be friends. They have not invented anything in decades and are way better off in the hands of CZ. I own CZ products and love them, it is obvious they are gun people. I know nothing of this ammo company, except they live in the same country. Ted Nugent and Ted Kennedy come from the same country also, that means nothing. Hope its a good thing!!!!

Fiocchi, is a very good brand. their 209 primers are top notch and so is their ammo, if it wasn't for them trap shooting would have all but folded and gone away if it was not for them. this could be better then you think, time will tell. The GRAND the last few years Rem and Win promising all the ammo needed and then almost empty tents, Fiocchi tent full meeting everyone's needs and enough to take home. give them a chance! And not gouging anyone you get half again as much of their primers for less then the others IF you can get them!

I hate being a pessimist, but I was involved in three company buy outs during my professional career, all three times I was with the company that got bought and although all three had nothing to do with the shooting sports, all buy out three went horribly bad for me, my fellow workmates, and the company I had been with.

I just have a bad feeling about this, perhaps it's nothing, I hope so, but it seems that the shooting sports are under constant attack.
