Just wondering what folks have found to work the best for clean-up of vipers venom cutting oil. Doing a barrel liner and will be using the venom and want to make sure the tube is clean clean for installing the liner. Probably overthinking but it is easy to ask the question. thanks in advance.

Brake cleaner will also leave a film. Even the best cleaner you can buy will leave a bit of a film.

A film of what?
The stuff I use is made up of only three ingredients; methanol, isopropyl alcohol, and naptha.
All of those evaporate quickly, so what is left behind? Unless it's remnants of what is being flushed off...
I was under the impression that carb cleaners have a small component that is not very volatile, and hangs around after everything else has evaporated.

Naptha can have oil in it. Brian.

I’ve been using this for 20 years give or take when I need a residue free solvent. My main use started with the need to rinse off electrical motors prior to repair and it branched off from there. I keep a case of it around at all times.

No, nitric acid does not leave a film. :)
If you spray an action down to clean, then glue it into a stock, i will not hold. There is most definitely a film left behind. I dont know what it is, but i can assure you, after cleaning with Brake clean, you will need to wipe it down with alcohol to remove the film.

Not all brake cleaners are created equal.
Caveat emptor.
