Varget cost

I have no clue what a rainbow .308 is ?… but I have a non rainbow.308 that will shoot Varget fine but I use 4064 in it.

Rainbow trajectory 308s. That's what I call them anyway. They just have zero practical use where I'm at, for what I do. Just not a huge fan of most SA cartridges to begin with over 6mm unless it's for varmints. Thats just me though.

Well I bought the N540. I've never used Varget a day in my life, and wasn't gonna start now. Probably because I've never owned, or will own a rainbow 308 haha.

My 223 has taking a liking to the N540 with 75g ELDMs. Varget doesn't produce the speed as N540, and I highly doubt it would be anymore accurate either, as N540 is doing 1/3 MOA.

Plus, everyone uses Varget. It's typically harder to find and more expensive than Vihtavouri powders these days.

N540 with an 80 ELD has been a nice combo for me in 223, similar accuracy.

I've got a nice load in the 6BR with Varget but switched to N140 last year. Varget was almost double the price of N140 at that time. I need to try some Shooters World Precision as well.

My observations of powder prices in the PNW over the past few years:
Edit to add, I saw a keg of Green Dot a few weeks ago for $575. Until I saw it, it was unimaginable to me. Someone bought it while I was waiting on my BGC.
