Vacuum OK in the reloading room

Pretty much what I have except for the remote. I do all my reloading in an airconditioned room my house. Rather that is beneficial or nor, I don't know but I have one press sooooooooo.
I'm currently relegated to the garage, so I at least try to load at the same temperature every time, to a limit, but I'm in a range of 70-78F throughout the year, but have zero humidity control.

Looks like you could afford one of the ductless mini-split systems. I installed one in my shop about 2 1/2 years ago and it works even during the coldest winters we've had so far. Would be better than burning stuff around all that flammable powder and explosive primers, I think.
These things really are great. Can buy a pre-charged unit online and install yourself in a matter of hours, assuming you can get the line set into your basement fairly easily. I still turn mine off when spraying lacquer or other solvents are in the air, just out of paranoia. I also turn off and throw a cover over the head unit when I'm doing fine sanding in order to keep sawdust from getting cycled into and clogging the fins.

If I had my glasses on, I might have noticed the DOT cylinder being used to supply the heater (which appears to be outside rated, not indoor).

Propane storage/handling
I saw the 20 pounder connected to the Buddy heater. And worse yet sitting on the floor. I wonder what his insurance carrier would say if he had a loss.
It is his issue, not mine. Propane is heavier than air, if there was a leak or the pressure vented the propane vapor would collect near the floor. With an ignition source right there things could get bad in a hurry!

I post fire extinguishers by the door, if there is a fire I will head for the door! If possible grab the fire extinguisher and attack the fire keeping a clear path to the door.
Sorry to be so long winded,
Paul

1 1/2 gallons of water emitted for every pound of propane (unvented) burned.
That’s a lot of moisture.
Ever walk into a room or shed heated with a propane heater? You’ll see water running down the INSIDE of the windows.
Something to consider.

Unvented propane heat isnt good due to humidity. As for the shop vac. Unless you're constantly vacuuming up spilled powder (without emptying it) i see no problem. Been vacuuming up spent primers and the occasional kernels of powder for decades now.

Used a Buddy heater in my canvas topped welded aluminum boat for 11yrs. On cool damp days I had to have towels handy to keep windshield clear of condensation. A small battery operated fan blowing across starboard windshield helped a little. Put an end to that nonsense in 2020 when I installed a Planar 2d ducted diesel furnace, thermostatically controlled, dry heat, no odor, no CO.

No way would I use a Buddy heater in my reloading room.

Wet or Dry vac with a foam cover over the motor cage and a vac bag over that.
No way for powder to get to a motor spark and dump/empty it often!!

I have two shop vacs, one is my vacum in my blast cabinet. No sense in getting to tight wound around the axle. Only been doing this since 62. I sand, spray paint, blast, weld, etc.
