V blocks in a BR rifle

ive been thinking about putting together a HV benchrest rifle (either 6br or 6ppc) and the action i will most likely use is a Barnard Model P, and i was wondering if i could/should use a V bedding block in the stock?

i figured that since a whole bunch of guys can use a V block for 1000 yard F-Class, it wouldn't be a bad idea for a 100 - 300 BR rifle.

I would think it to be a great idea.I just ordered one for myself. It gives a repeatable surface to torque your action to and maybe even another custom action from barnard to make it a switch stock so to speak.
