ALL mail that leaves my town goes through Birmingham and ALL mail coming here comes through Birmingham. I had 3 Remington 541 triggers shipped back to me after smith work and they sat in Birmingham for 6 days. It's a one hour drive to Birmingham for me. That particular problem was that they didn't scan them into the system until they scanned them outbound to me so for 6 days I really didn't know where the triggers were. And nobody on the planet makes replacement triggers for the 541. I was very stressed over the deal.![]()
USPS: All packages in Birmingham have been processed, apologizes for delays
A USPS spokesperson said that the packages have been processed and they apologize to customers who may have experienced a delay.www.wbrc.com
I lost my temper and asked the postmaster why she hired carriers that couldn't read, and she said that's all they can get.....
They never taped the closing flap of the box. They did tape the sides, though. Thats the signature and note of my carrier. At least the sticker made it.I received a box a couple yrs ago from a gun shop in Surgis (not LRI) the same way missing 2 timney triggers. No acknowledgement of missing items and no tape of the box.
Somehow, that doesn't even come close to surprising me with the USPS.I live in a small town at the edge of Tulsa. We have one Post Office and one zip code. I have a PO Box inside the post office, I’ve had it for many years. In January they put a USPS self addressed envelope in my box with a label stating that my annual PO Box fee was due, they do this every year. I put a check in the envelope and dropped it in the USPS mail box, the slot in the wall inside the Post Office. They.never received the check.
usps JUST PLANE S U C K S !!!!! Tommy McI got some bolt work completed by LRI last week (great company). My bolt was shipped back to me on Tuesday by PRIORITY mail (2-3 day delivery). Today is day 4 and it 300 miles FURTHER away than when they shipped it from Sturgis. Grrrrr
In my case, the delivery was placed in my PO box and the tracking was updated to say so. Went to the PO and the package was nowhere to be found. They returned to the sender.I had a package arrive at local PO only to be sent back out to somewhere in PA.
No explanation, no apologies.
That is exactly what happened to me. The package was lost. We immediately filed a claim. I tried to visit the USPS office location where it was last seen. They told me to pound sand. I filed another claim, same answer, we deny your claim. USPS is shit. The worst is when you pay extra for insurance. Then they lose it and tell you to pound sand they aren't paying the insurance claim!
