USPS again!!! Only 7 Months!!

Long story short, sold some 223 Lapua brass to a fellow here. Brass made it, check didn't. He sent the brass back.

Checked mail this morning for yesterdays mail, and LO AND BEHOLD there is a priority mail envelope, postmarked May 30, 2025, sitting in my mail box!!! Darn near 7 months to the day it was postmarked ,to delivery. Some black hole around the Commerce City area it appears, but somehow the envelope escaped the gravity well and made it the final miles to its destination.

Now, to send it back and hope it makes it back to where it came from.

Not surprised. I mailed an envelope to a guy only 2 counties away, back at the beginning of September. He has the delivery preview option with his mail service and it showed up there shortly after I mailed it. It was never delivered! There are a number of people in the USPS that need to lose their job! The job really isn't that hard to do.

Well, that's true, if it were UPS or FedEx taking it over

I always cringe whenever I have a USPS package that hits Palatine Illinois. Usually bounces back and forth between Palatine, Chicago and other places for a week or more before finally getting here. I call it the black hole of USPS. My son has been watching a package of his bounce there for around for almost a month now. Phone calls have no effect.

UPS and Fed Ex are not friends of firearm owners. If you need a long gun shipped as a non-licensee, only the USPS will do it for you. Amazon pretty much put "the kibosh" on UPS and Fed Ex. Amazon used UPS, and to a lesser extent, Fed Ex, to make their deliveries until they got their delivery fleet up and running. It used to be that when you saw deliveries being made, deliveries were made largely by UPS, and some by Fed Ex. When you see deilveries being made today, you largely see Amazon trucks and to some degree, USPS making deliveries for Amazon. That just can't be good for UPS and Fed Ex.
