Using two electronic powder dispensers ?

From your actual experience...

Does using two electronic powder dispensers in parallel actually cut in half the time necessary to load powder in a 100 cases ?

Or is it substantially more or less than that ?

Personally, I'd work up a ball powder load and throw charges if I was in that big a hurry, you can achieve just as good of charge wt accuracy and load as fast as you can pull the lever and manage cases. I can throw 100 in the time it takes to warm up my Chargemaster. Using a Redding BR3 with the micrometer meters, record the setting, no more screwing around other than double checks to start with, takes 2-3 min.

I don't see the use of two electronic dispensers cutting the reloading process in half. Depending on how long it takes the measure to meter the powder, I don't think it would save hardly any time if the measure is fast. You'll end up taking a lot of time moving the powder container to and filling the case and then have to switch to the other powder container to let it fill while repeating the case filling.

I wouldn't be coordinated enough to multitask with two dispensers.

I'd think so
If you have to tap in charges I'd think it would cut more.
I'm making myself remember it's part of the fun ....

I use two chargmaster 1500s when loading large quantities (100 or more). Keeping track of the powder funnel is the hardest part. Two funnels and two loaders by blocks makes it easier. It does cut down the time to charge cases, but can turn into this if you are not careful.

My estimate is about a 30% reduction in load time. However, I had to change my workflow. When using one, I used to charge my case and the seat but now with two, its faster if I charge all the cases first and then seat all the bullets.

It would seem folks filling pistol cases vs those filling large bore rifle cases might answer the question differently. 9mm vs 375 HH are not the same.

@just_jon The best change I ever made to my reloading setup was to mount the powder funnel to a fixture. Cases go from a container to the funnel, and THEN into the reloading block.
No empty case ever in the block. Works for me.

Would appreciate seeing a picture of the fixture for holding the funnel

I use 2 chargemasters when loading 30br for a match. Charge all the cases first and seat the bullets after. It’s quite a bit faster.

We run 2 side by side at the reload shop. They fall within .25-.90gr of each other when the temperature is steady between 70-73 degrees and someone doesn't walk by at the wrong time.

I dispense with the block entirely: box of primed brass, to funnel in fixture, to press for bullet seating. The flow saves multiple motions/steps and speeds up the overall flow.
