Powder Dispensers

I have been having problems with my combined electronic powder dispenser and scales unit and will be sending it back under warranty.
The unit appeared the way forward when I was starting out but now I am a little more confident I am wondering if may be I should be looking at the hand operated style dispensers, some of which are quite a bit more expensive than the electronic type.

My aim with re loading is consistency and accuracy, that may sound obvious but I know some guys are happy as long as it makes a bang and a hole appears somewhere down range.

I would be particularly interested in what the successful F Class and Bench rest guys are using,

Regards

Which brand of powder dispenser is it.RCBS is #1,lyman is#2 and hornady is #3. Smart reloader should go back and get your money back.

i first bought junk for a despencer, got tired of trying to do weird math just to get a number to set my despencer to, went to cabelas bought a rcbs uniflow and when i got it home
and out of the package i literally felt tension in my chest going away. i am not very experienced but i loaded some rounds for my 22-250 measuring every 10th charge and when i sighted them in i could almost cover 4 shots with a dime @100yds, my best group ever i think. my point is
get a good rcbs despncer/measurer and don't worry. hope this helps some.

I purchased the unit from Sinclair's, I will investigate if it is possible to up grade instead of having a replacement unit sent out. Shame as most of my gear is red and a green dispenser will look odd!

I preload for score matches using a ChargeMaster and a Pact Digital Dispenser....one is set for 30 BR powder, the other 6 PPC. The RCBS is more user friendly and easier to clean, but I have equal confidence in both units.
For loading at the range I eventually settled on a Harrels "Premium"..only because it uses the large bottles, I had a Redding BR-30 which was equally as accurate ( but in BR , loads are often referenced in "clicks"...not grains. I started with a 40 year old RCBS Uniflow and absolutely hate it, the drum quickly starts to get sticky, galling?, no matter how I try to lubricate it...dry medium of course.
You will get weight variations with all measures...no matter how proficient you operate them, apparently this variation does not affect accuracy a much as the ability to "tune" between targets.
