I had a 6.5x284 built on a Remington 700LA. It ran perfectly. I miss that rifle.

That's the R700? Very nice rifle. I'm starting with one to use at 600 to 1000. Did you spec the FB on your Reamers ? If so what did you use for the LR one? I've got a lot of gun projects going but I definitely need one of these to
ThanksMy LA 284 is .220 if I remember correctly. This SA build started out at .060 and going to start range work when the weather cooperates. Figuring I'll end up with .090-.120 freebore using the 162 amax bullets. Uni throater to adjust to the final freebore.That's the R700? Very nice rifle. I'm starting with one to use at 600 to 1000. For short action use, installing a Wyatts mag box will give you another .125 of length, no down side to this.
