US Optics Illumination Issues

I have a 10x UP Optics scope, love it, but sometimes the illuminated reticle doesn't work. I've tried new batteries and securing the holder down, but if doesn't work more often than it does. Anyone else with a similar issue?

TIA,

Joel

Man... That suck about USO bc I had issues with my 5-25 tracking and a friend of mine bought the new design and had major issues with his also. Hearing all this makes me sad but we NEED to know this with what we do IMO. Mine and his illumination worked fine it was just tracking issues. Good luck.

Sounds like the illumination module is suffering from an iffy electrical connection. Probably needs replaced. Dunno if USO is still servicing those but I betcha they will.

Thanks, I bet that's it. I'll five them a call and see what they can do. Otherwise, the scope is amazing.

Cheers,

Joel

I bought mine new as well, but they were discounting this model as it was no longer being made. Besides the clarity, the repeatability is first rate.

USO is known for its tracking precision and ruggedness. They may not be quite S&B on the glass but everything else is M1A1 tough.

Not the ones I remember! I think they are getting better, but they definitely had a few rough years with QC and durability. I know of a couple of guys that said "never again" to USO. They have first rate CS and always took good care of customers with warranty issues.

The tracking or ruggedness was never a problem that I've ever experienced. A bunch of years ago I recall there being some sour grapes on a couple forums about optical properties (fish eye and such) but other than that.... In fact the only series I'm aware of that had enough problems to generate a deserved reputation for pissing off guys spending thousands was during the sale of USO that happened before they brought out the B-series. They dumped huge numbers of ER-25's on the market which I got some of and can say, those were not up to standards optically. Color problems, lens alignment, etc... During that time the CS was very friendly but actually getting a scope fixed was a no-go. I had $300 in shipping costs to get one scope RMA'd multiple times that I got to pay for to attest to that.

Got an email yesterday and was told that it was most likely the circuit board. He said that they will send one right out to me asap and no charge. Very nice to deal with and I hope that this solves my problem.
