Updated 600 Club at 1000. Post number 19 below….



Just a reminder note. Most of you know I’m not the official record keeper. I self elected to attempt to collect and record these amazing rounds that have been shot by our fellow shooters. I wanted to record, share and congratulate these individuals who achieved these daily aggs. Considering what has to be thousands of recorded scores shot through-out the years and these shooters achieved needed to be captured.

When I shot my clean 600 at the first day of the 1000 yard Michigan state championship, it honestly didn’t even cross my mind how special it was after the third match. I turned around and several people were watching to my surprise. Later that night I told my girlfriend as we ate dinner that the entire day of shooting felt so calm and relaxed. I’ve forever chased the feeling I had that day and was hoping to carry it into the second day. Well, in day 2 my 12 year old son is in relay 1 and decided to unrack a loaded round, dumping power in the action, trigger, etc. I was able to get his rifle cleaned up and back on line for him to finish his match. In Relay 2 my girlfriend is shooting her Panda and has a malfunctioning bolt issue with a broken extractor. The bolt is completely welded close and I had to beat it open with a piece of 4x4” post we had. Pulled the bolt out and discovered the problem, ran to car to get her backup bolt, which was supposed to be identical but had .002” less headspace causing every round to be a total bitch to close the bolt. We were able to get her backup online to finish her match with literally seconds to spare as she fired the 20th round. And ALL THIS HAPPENS, before I even go to the line for my relay #3 to continue my perfect run. I ended up shooting a 198 in that match, but honestly getting both of them through their issues and to complete their matches felt like such a huge win, that I had totally forgotten that I was trying to extend the perfect streak. Some days perfection just find you and you really don’t realize until well after the fact. I did tell my girlfriend that the whole day was sort of a blur and everything just felt so easy, like really being in the zone I guess.

Updated “The Cleaners List” aka 600 at 1000 club after 3 additional shooters were added to the list. Only 16 shooters to have recorded a daily agg of 600 at 1000 yards.

Congratulations to Joseph Fairley, Troy Flaharty and Gary Lee Johnson on this great achievement! Very impressive. This is Gary’s 3rd match ever at 1000 yards. I guess he’s a quick study!

Congratulations to Daniel Maple for being the 17th fclass shooter to clean a full day 60 shot format keeping all shots into the 10 ring! Thanks to the shooters for alerting me so that I can keep the list up to date.

Who’s going to be next..? I’m anxious to add the first FTR shooter. We know many that are on the cusp of making the run.

3 more 600’s shot today and 2 more added to the 600 club. Total of 19 shooters who have shot clean at 1000. Congrats to the newest shooters to the list. Henry Farris shot a monster 600-45x. Mike Drass shoots a 600-37x. And some dude that no one has ever heard of… Matthew Basalla shoots his second 600. Matt still holds the official NRA record at a registered match. Awesome scores guys. I’m trying to update more info on these achievements and also add to give credit to their builders. So if you would like to share, please PM me so I can add and other detail that you would like to share.

Noah Burleson headed over to Phoenix, Az to challenge the Ben Avery range and posted up an Awesome 600-33x to become only the 2nd 600 to be posted at the 1000 yard range there. And now there are 20 names on the list of 600 Club at 1000 yards…
