2017 SIERRA CUP, 600 yrd Fclass, St Louis, May 6th

I'm bringing Lamey...soo you know he will eat.

That boy ate the first 4 baskets off the fryer. They had to send him to the pit so everyone else could get something to eat. Lol

Targets are already hung in the pit and Joe has things well in hand so far. Gusty winds tomorrow so this should be interesting match.

Just went outside the Hotel for some "fresh air"...the wind is blowing right good already (5:00 am). This is going to be an interesting day. Hope I can at least keep it in the aiming black LOL.

1st joe missouri
2nd norm Arky
3rd jim Arky
The bulk of the open still came back to Arkansas and joe is a duck so he might as well be part Arky

We claim the Arky's as our shooting family but if you want to rent one of our mules... Lol

Had a great time shooting with everyone today, I just realized that I never looked at the clock once during the match. That's a first for me!

More words of congratulations and thanks from me to the sponsors, especially Sierra, and Joe and crew for putting on a fantastic match! Well done! Always a great time to come and shoot with old friends and make new ones as well. The "score sheets" weren't finished at the time of the awards ceremony, so no one was abe to take any cell phone score pics. However, I was informed they will be forthcoming, so have a little patience.

Great match Joe! Special thanks again to Tommy from Sierra Bullets for sponsoring the match and giving away a bunch of bullets! Still one of the best matches of the year!

This was my 1st match I ever attended. I would like to thank everyone that was so helpful to answer questions and give advise. My wife and kids came along, but sat back by truck not to interfere with anyone. They want to come back with guns and compete next time. Looks like I will be busy building some more rifles.
Just wanted to say thanks to Range officer, Joe, Mr. Todd from Sierra bullets and couple guys from down by big piney range for helping out answering questions.
I'd like to thank the fella from Memphis with the "Bubba Gump Shrimp" hat on and the guys that was on lane 11 next to me.
I had a blast and look forward to next time. I wish I wouldn't have bombed my second target, guess that's where a little patience would have payed off in wind.

Superbly run match! Thank you Joe and everyone who helped you put it on, and thanks to Sierra, Bartlein, SEB and other sponsors. It was nice to see and talk with friends from all over.

How about that lunch – it doesn’t get any better!

I know that electronic targets will be the thing of the future, and I don’t mind them at all. However, I have to admit that pit duty yesterday was fun, at least for me. The cut down target centers made changing them a breeze, the pasters holder clips worked just fine, and I the shot impacts on the berm were easily seen – at least on the targets that I could see.

The windy conditions were good for learning, and for not relying too much on them not changing 'a lot' – very frequently.

Steelnecktie at one time on the second relay almost Everybody Bombed!!! It was Ugly..Ugly..Ugly.. I would have been almost as well off just throwing the bullets!!! Wind was brutal ! Had a lot of funat the match and a HUGE thanks to Sierra for being the sponsor!!! Thanks to all who cooked the lunch...and Jason who BBQed 90 pork steaks the afternoon before!!!

Joe,

Wanted to thank you and all of the sponsors for hosting the Sierra Cup Match. What a great turn out you had for the match and that lunch was outstanding. I am sure that everyone had their share of some great food.
It was fun shooting with the "Old Dinosaurs" from Kansas. They did put on a clinic for me on how it is done in the wind. Too bad I didn't learn until the last match. Ha!
Good Job.

That is a fact about Laney and the fish! But who could have blamed him?! Best fish I have had since Mo state last year! Thanks again Mike for cooking for us Friday evening.
