Since the statute of limitations is far over, i will mention a guy I know that once snuck up on a mourning dove in a pine tree. Got under it with a very powerful bb gun (which was certainly not "allowed" at that time) and whacked that dove right thru the breast. It flopped out dead, as did the one that was a few feet above it in the tree, unseen till the bb went thru its little mourning dove brain.
I learned a lot that day, oooops, I mean that guy learned a lot that day, but mostly that the bb gun was the most powerullest weapon made since the invention of the German 88. Or so it seemed.
Doves tasted pretty dang good too.
I guess I am glad no hunter orange clad bowhunters were in a tree stand several limbs up, or that bb might have lit a fire in someones behind...
