Tuner settings

When testing ammo at test center, they take gun out of stock and place in vise to find best lots. When you put gun back in stock should this change tuner settings. Thanks

If anything, it might change the tune of the barrel, but it won't affect the ammo's performance. it the lot shoots good the results will show.
I had a rifle clamped by the barrel because no jig was available (Falcon) and we were able to find a lot that shot 12.14mm at 50 and 18.54mm at 100m back in the stock at the bench I was able to get a 9mm at 50yds.

I don’t think you’ll find a test tunnel that will let you tune during the test session. What they claim and I mostly believe, is that quality of tune is not required to select ammo lots.

Yes the group sizes could get smaller or bigger but ‘they’ say your test will still select the same best lots.
