Trying to find scope mounts

HI, I am trying to locate a one piece receiver attached mount for Rem. short action that would allow me to use my Unertl scopes without drilling the barrel for scope blocks. I have seen these before but I can't locate who makes them. I would need both std. and posa types.

howard, if you contact kelbly's, BLK technologies, davidson ind. or sinclair international you will find the bases you need..... be sure & have correct dovetail size handy ----------take care Craig

Howard: This is probably what you're looking for. I bought a used Rem. 700 Short-Action & it came with the Unertl BR20x and the one piece receiver base mount. Looked it over and could not find the name of the maker. It was made of aluminum. Worked fine with the shorter ( 19" ) BR20, but don't know what it would be like with the really long 25" and 26". I did have the necessary 7 1/4" between the mounts. Mine was for the Posa mounts. Sold everything on this site about a year ago.

I did not like mounting the front block on the barrel(s) either. Never could understand how you can float a barrel then bolt a scope on top of it.
