Where do I find export Cert for Scope

Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to locate somewhere an export certificate, so I can bring out a scope from USA.

Does anyone here have that information and can send me a link?

Hi Rhonda,
I honestly think you don't need one. If you order on line from places like The Optic Zone then you should have it in OZ in about 10 days, probably less.
Apparently Leupold are becoming difficult to deal with for people like us who are ordering from overseas but as a general rule it's easy to get a scope. You may have to pay GST depending on the cost of the scope when it gets to Australia.

Thanks 'gunamonth', I sort of figured out that, I called our US embassy trying to find someone to talk to about this & got handballed to various departments.

Most of the big Rifle stores will not post Precision rifle scopes direct to Australia, because of the law that requires an export certificate to be issued - they put it in the too hard basket or charge $75+++ to arrange the certificate.

Any other thoughts, has anyone from Australia imported a scope direct???
