This guy just about drove me out of my mind. I got an arrow in him low. I thought it surely caught some heart, but it didn’t. We tracked him a little over 2 miles and found him upright and seemingly healthy. That was my first “miss” in 27 years of deer hunting.

It took 13 days to get another opportunity. This one went a lot better. He went about 30 yards and fell head first.
