I done a reasonable amount of elk and South African plains game in my life. I had always used factory ammo
My rifle, a Tikka T3 from 2010, really liked Fed Premium Trophy Bonded Bear Claw, 180 grain rounds. I shot proficiently out to 600 yards at the range. I voluntarily limited my longest hunting shots to 400 yards and have been very happy with only one animal requiring a second round, a wildebeest.
Till now I've only reloaded for practice, keeping close to my 180 grain factory loads. Now I'd like try some different loads, but still would like to deploy these news loads in elk and similar animals in Africa. I'm open to suggestions. Can some folks give some ideas of their bullets and powders and powder loads.
