Yeah, but it's a dry heat! I attended a wedding in Kerrville last August and it wasn't that bad. Back home it was 95 with 90% humidity. It felt cooler in Texas. You "western" guys always roll your eyes at us easterners like we're all soft green horns. I invite you out here to try living free while being surrounded by Liberals.;):cool::cool::cool: I know how Custer must have felt.
born and raised in northwest Florida, sailed the oceans for 40 years,I know HUMID,only been in Texas 4 years, stay away TAXES are terrible:cool:

Good old Ralph Nader. He tried to bankrupt GM way back before they bankrupted themselves. Anyone else ever install motor mount straps and/or new mounts factory mods on Chevies? Most all motor mounts were made the same way, but Ralph went after GM for the broken mounts causing the throttle to stick open. BTW, for you young whipper snappers here, Ralph Nader wrote a book titled "Corvairs, Unsafe at Any Speed". Consider yourselves enlightened. This non shooting thread will broaden a fellows horizons.
Yes, I used a short section of chain bolted from the exhaust manifold to the frame. Cheap easy fix (bandaid) for a broken motor mount on my 71 Chevelle.

I turned wrenches on Chevies (always plenty of work :D) for a few years back when Corvairs were around. I somehow managed to avoid doing an engine on one. Almost got assigned to one and something else came up. I knew a guy at a different dealership that specialized in Corvair engine rebuilds. Now the Chevy Vega with aluminum engine blocks a whole nother story. I put engines in those like bananas, in bunches! Always had several parked behind the dealership waiting for an engine. GM couldn't meet the demand!;)

remember when everybody complained about GM putting Buick engines in Chevys,,same engine

I believe that the 3.8 Buick and 3.8 Chevy were different engines. GM did a lot of engine variations though. Like the late 70's Trans Am, there were 2 different decals for the shaker hood. If it read TA 6.6 it had a 400 Pontiac, if it read 6.6 Litre it had a 403 Olds engine.

No thread that excoriates non-shooting topics would be complete without descending into the realm of "cute dog pics".

Here's a shot of my hound pack that I've been training for a few months now. Got them from a breeder on the Arkahoma line. Pretty standard for that area, but unique most everplace else. These guys are so good that they can pretty much catch coons with mathematical calculations. jd

I'm looking for a new buddy. I'm looking for a Labrador Retriever pup of English breeding. Marleys need not apply. Yes I'm a dog snob, who cares. So, if you have or know somebody who has a good looking litter of pups pm me. I'd prefer a female.upload_2018-3-21_11-47-27.jpeg
