Western PA chili (now mind you, this is a place that puts a fried egg on a perfectly good hamburger and calls that good)

Pound hamburger, fried with 1 onion. Pour off grease. Add 1/2 cup ketchup, i can small tomatoe paste, 1/2 red pepper, 1 can kidney beans washed. cook for 1/2 day/ Add a little crushed red pepper late and eat with saltines.

Ya, I know, not real chili. But thats what momma made and I like it so shut the heck up or I will send momma your way, and no respectable Texan would not eat mommas chili and not tell her it was the best they ever ate with her sitting right there. So to maintain your manhood, don't be saying nothing about her chili or I am buying her a ticket to your place with her skillet packed!

In the voice of Foghorn leghorn :

There's somethin' just kinda 'eeewwww' about puttin' ketchup in a pot a chili.

No thread that excoriates non-shooting topics would be complete without descending into the realm of "cute dog pics".

Here's a shot of my hound pack that I've been training for a few months now. Got them from a breeder on the Arkahoma line. Pretty standard for that area, but unique most everplace else. These guys are so good that they can pretty much catch coons with mathematical calculations. jd

I need your address so I can get momma a ticket to come see you. Mind ya, she is older now and has alzhiemers, but she sure knows how to swing that skillet....

My apologies Snert!! Tell your mom that I like home cooking and would enjoy breaking bread with you and her when she makes chili next time. I am sure that her chili is wonderful.

Why thank you! I will pass that long to her. ;)

"Now who, I say, now who is responsible for this unwarranted attack on my person ? !!"

'That girl's about as sharp as a bag of wet mice.'

Foghorn Leghorn and Yosemite Sam. Likely the 2 most un-politically correct characters in the 70's era Warner Brothers line-up.

I suggest ya'll have a peek on YouTube. 'less ya'll are like tomatoes.

Thin skinned, that is. Thin skinned.

Don't worry too much oldguy, my momma don't remember much but she will know if you insult her chili. She may not remember how many times she hit ya with her skillet, but I guess that is one plus of getting older! :p:D:D:eek:

Really like your pure breds.........lol

We need to have a test. Bean VS Non-bean chili.

Flatulence. Is it the beans, the meat or the spice?

This is almost on topic, if we're talking projectile flatulence. Or is that 'Splatulance'? Do these qualify as 'sharts'? And are they going to be bonus points, or dis-qualifiers?

Someone needs to define a qualifying means of measurement here . . .

Bic lighters at 5 paces . . .

And is beer considered an accelerant?

Wow.

How far off in the tall weeds we gonna go here, Boys?

Yes Pintos explode when rear ended, but the Corvair is unsafe at any speed.

Yeah, well I think a Corvair might be safer than being around some of the guys at deer camp after a week of cheap hotdogs, beer and canned tamales.

The NRA is evil according to David Hogg. Wait what are we talking about again? Chili? Tide pods? Chili that tastes like tide pods? Guns that shoot tide pods?

Good old Ralph Nader. He tried to bankrupt GM way back before they bankrupted themselves. Anyone else ever install motor mount straps and/or new mounts factory mods on Chevies? Most all motor mounts were made the same way, but Ralph went after GM for the broken mounts causing the throttle to stick open. BTW, for you young whipper snappers here, Ralph Nader wrote a book titled "Corvairs, Unsafe at Any Speed". Consider yourselves enlightened. This non shooting thread will broaden a fellows horizons.
