I bought an Advantage Arms 22 lr conversion kit for my Glock 22 (40 S&W) here about a month ago.
It fits perfect and I am enjoying shooting 22lr for about 25% of current 40 ammunition. That said, it is a minor PITA every time switching out at the range.

I finally decided to order a Polymer 80 kit and lower Monday. About 1/3rd of a new Glock 9mm to fit it on. I went to Polymer 80. Out! They posted a list of nine resellers on their URL. Most are out. Finally clicked on www.RainierArms.com. Eureka! They had one left, ONE LEFT! OD Green, ugh. I ordered it, and it arrived this afternoon in the mail.

The good news about OD Green, it is only about $35 away from my buddy Denis's Ceracote ministrations. Coyote Tan. Drop it off with him at Church in the morning, have it back in a week ready to start the drilling/milling operations.

Sounds pretty sweet. That’s a great price for the cerakote job, good to have generous, skilled friends. I paid a painter to cerakote a rail for me, the heat curable type. He did it in the kitchen oven and it stunk his house up real bad, swore he didn’t want any more of those jobs.

I am lucky there. My buddy is head of the maintenance dept at the local University. He takes the parts in and does the coating/baking in the chem dept. It always stinks there, but this is non-toxic at least.

Why wait until after the new finish in put on, would not be better to run it through the jig before, then have it the new finish put on ?

I think the cerakote has enough thickness that it will interfere with the fit. I think he’s got the order of operation correct.
