Had a really good day today!

Thank You for your service, sir!
I was a single dad mmyself, and understand the trials & tribulations that go with it.
Although i only had 1 daughter.

I still remember taking her to the state gamelands roads so she could practice driving my 95' Neon with 268,000 on it.
We were talking, when she turns to me & exclaims " ya know, I think i'd like a Mustang for my first car!" :D

She was upset when i started laughing.
Then explained that 1) our family doesn't buy each other cars.
2) we owned a 95' Neon, what made her think i could afford to buy her a Mustang?

Mustang, Oh hell no! We dont have that kind of money!!! However, we made it work, cause thats what we do as a dad!!! Thanks for that fine Sir! Not just me going through the hard times! Everyone has them!

Today, I became the proud new owner of a 2009 Toyota Camry with 212,000 + miles on it. Pictured below!

Now I know that most of you are thinking "So what" right? However, this beater work car was different.
I am a single parent of three daughter ranging from 11 to 20 yrs old. I am an active duty Marine trying to make an already hard life style work. Im sure you know that I am not a rich guy! Please dont misunderstand, I do okay, but I do not have money to just through around, especially with three daughter!
My sixteen yr old just got her license and as a normal kid would be chomping at the bite to get her hands on her first car. Now you have to take in to account what these kids have been through over the past 10ish years.
Her mother is a victim of a very horrible disease that is called Alcoholism. She also sufferers from a few mental disorders that did not help anything. It has been a very rough road for them. Please take me out of your thoughts, I'm fine, its all about them!

Thanks to an awesome neighbor and some good budgeting, I was able to make her dreams come true! This has been the kid that has stepped up, continued to get great grades and always has a great attitude. How could I fail her?
I am very proud of her and the young woman she has become! If you look close, you can see her in the drivers seat beaming from ear to ear!

Thanks for listening, had to share with someone!
P.S. Thanks to Chris and Sarah Howard of Hubert NC for helping make this happen!
P.S.S. Thank you Lord for your holy grace! Today your light shined upon me!
That’s great when I zoom in all I see is teeth LOL

I would just like to share a little bit of PM conversation that I had with Thud!
In less then 24hrs this thread had 480 views, 23 Posts, 36 likes and 2 offers for help( respectfully decided). If this does not say something about the caliber of people on this forum, I'm not sure what does! Now understand, that I dont care about any of the numbers at all. I am 44 yrs old and still dont have facespace or any of the other social sites, hell even my 67 yr old mother has facebook, but not me. I keep my world very tite to myself for the most part. Not normally one for opening up and letting people in, guess thats just the job coming out in me!
However, you all made me feel as if my world mattered to you and my daughters world mattered! Thats the part I'm talking about. This thread had nothing to do with guns, reloading, scopes, or anything else with firearms and all of you still reached out! For that I am very grateful! I said in my post "God shined down on me today" but today, God shined down on all of you! It is very hard for a man like me to open his world up to others, but I'm glad i did. It really show me that there are still GREAT people out there that do care and are very genuine!
Thank you all for everything you have posted, liked, viewed and offered! I know to you it may have seemed as very little, but to me and my family, it meant everything!
By the way, later last night, I had my daughter read what all of you posted! Let me tell you, I dont think Ive ever been that choked up!!!
Thank you all and God bless you all!
Rob

This happens any time just a little bit of God will be allowed to show up. When he shows up he shows out as well.

I have a Toyota Ipsum here in New Zealand and it has 290.000 km, or 181.000 miles. Never have a headache with it. Just servicing every year, oil change and top up with gas.
Good on you!!!!
MFG,
Wish I could drive that Toyota to New Zealand to pay you a visit! Been all over the world at this point, but never got to see New Zealand and was the one place I always wanted to see! Been so close too! Been to Aussy land, Philippians and all over the Pacific! Just never New Zealand! Sad face!
