Thurro clean every time?

Sea Foam works like a wash…. Free-All and a bronze brush is great on carbon… scrub with Free All and let it sit awhile then scrub a bit more its pretty good. Nothing get it all except an abrasive. I have 3 barrels that grab copper.. these barrels were abrasive USE barrels.. I swear smoothing out with abrasive causes copper fouling. Use abravise very little if needed in my opinion..

After reading all of this, I dragged out a AR 15 rifle the I've had in my safe from before I had a bore scope and took it out and borescoped the barrel. It had some carbon and build up where a carbon ring was forming. I got out my Bore Tech C4 carbon remover and put some on a bore mop and swabbed the chamber real good then used a Pro-Shot bore brush and spun it around a few times and all that carbon was gone. Same with the barrel using a very tight fitting bronze brush and C4. I spend a lot of time cleaning my rifles when I'm done shooting, the AR's a lot more time. So I see the value of Thurro Clean. It's much faster. But You really don't need it if you stay on top of it. And use more elbow grease. As in a tight fitting bore brush and a bore rod that does not bend.
