Three Favorite Deer Cartridges

What are you three favorite deer cartridges, you can even choose your bullet for out to 300 yards? I was thinking about it last night and finally came down to 7mm Mauser (7x57), 6.5-284 and 270WSM The 7x57 would shoot the Nosler Accubond LR 168 grain, the 6.5-284 would shoot the 142 grain Nosler Accubond LR and the 270 WSM would shoot again the Nosler accubond LR in 150 grain. I think all three of these would be effective out to 300 yards. My favorite being the 7x57, killed a truckload with my Ruger No.1 using the Noslers.

.260/.270/.284 Not in that order necessarily.
Oh where to start on bullet selection since sooooo many great bullets made.
.264 - 125/140 Partition
.270 - 130/140/150 AB/Partitions.
.284 - 160/162 AB, NP/ELDX Anything much heavier isn't needed for deer IMO at the range you are speaking of.

6mmRem, 257Roberts, 280Remington in that order.
I never had any trouble going to 400 yards with various bullets from 85-100 grain in the first two and 120grain Nosler in the 280. All of my deer hunting was done in the west.

30-06 150-180

My favorite is my bowtech 70lb draw
Flipping a 340 ICS hunter carbon arrow tipped with with either a G5 montec or a wasp of 125gr @285fps.
Kills em dead!!!

I'd be hard pressed to even find a 300 yard shot where I hunt these days, they're often more like 30 yrd shots :D

Nevertheless, a 10" Contender in 357 Herrett with 180gr XTP's is what I gun hunt with most often. That's mostly due to the ease of carrying while hiking around public land swamps, it's nice to move about hands free. In good weather, a Ruger #1 7x57 (175gr RN's) is another favorite to hunt with. In an area I used to hunt where there were more opportunities for longer shots I'd typically carry a Sako 25-06 with 115 Bergers or a 700 in 260 with 140 Partitions.

I love gun hunting but due to the long public land bow seasons here I end up making more hunts with a bow these days than a firearm. Bowtech too set at 65#, 330 Easton Bloodlines with 125 Ramcats. Right at 285 fps too although that may have been at 70#, been awhile since sending them over a chrono.
