Thoughts on 22 Nosler?

I have one. It's a 18 inch STONER upper. I had case head damage early on. Installed a adjustable gas block and an H3 buffer. That solved the case head problem. I'm shooting 60g TMK's with Varget at And getting 5 shot groups at 100 at 3/4 inch. Plenty good for a calling rifle.

I just traded for an upper with a 22" Wilson combat barrel. I've been killing coyotes with my 204. This should have a bit more knock down power.

I just picked up some 55gr Sierra gamekings to try.

Yes - BIG difference in knockdown power if going from the 40 grain .20's to the 55 Gamekings. I have had a lot of coyotes run off using the 32 V-Maxes (not all perfectly placed - but all solid body shots). Doesn't happen much when you step up to the fast .22's. If you were using the 32's in you .20 - you might want to try the 40 V-Max - as a big difference as well.

Has anyone thought bout sizing a 22 Nosler down to a 17 Nosler. I think it would be a heck of a Prairie Dog rifle and even a Coyote round.
I would rather see a 20 and Nosler step up their game and bring out a 50 and 55 grain .204 bullet offering. If a 17 were to come around I would desire 25-30 grain.
