Thorroclean, this stuff works!

You run the flush on a patch through the bore first. This will loosen the deposits in the bore, making the cleaning somewhat easier.
I never get copper in my barrel, activator and wipeout don't do much. It looks as if the paste is the only thing that works ''best'' on carbon is the paste.

How often do you use thorroclean ?
Is the thorroflush a cleaner that can be used independently?

I’ve been using it after every outing. The flush I’ve noticed picks up the loose powder/carbon. I haven’t tried cleaning with just the flush

I’ve used Bore tech C-4 as a flush to remove the paste, seems to work well, I also use a bore mope to apply the paste and that also works well.

Run a couple of patches of Free All let it set for 10-15 minutes. If you have more time let the Free All set longer the longer you let it set the faster it will clean up. Then rub ISSO into the patch then apply Free All on the ISSO patch, wrap around a ISSO brush and repeat till clean. After checking with a bore scope I will run several patches of Free All down the barrel and then a couple of patches of brake cleaner to remove all residual left in the barrel. Then a patch with lock ease condition the clean barrel, I have also used Free All works just as well. A friend of mine (Noah) will squeeze a half a tube of ISSO in a bottle of ISSO oil and shakes it till the ISSO brakes down to clean his barrel, so I thought since Free All has a ingredient it that breaks down nitrocellulose in it I would give a try and it works great it’s like killing two birds with one stone. I’m running triple nickel in one barrel and Varget in another and both clean up fast and easy. It’s like a poor man’s Thorroclean not 5 bucks an ounce. Try it if you don’t have the results that I’m getting go back to your method. Let me know if it works for you or try it suspended in ISSO oil.

Yes it does , when you think your barrel is clean enough, wrap a patch soaked in Thorroclean around a soft nylon brush and go at it gently for twenty five or so passes to see what’s still in there.

The Iosso brushes work quite well.

Depending on how stubborn my barrel is being I will use a 6 mm in my 223, I will also use a 30 and jam it in there to break up the carbon ring and I’ve never had an issue getting it lodged.

I used the 6mm for mine because the 30cal was not needed and I didn’t have a 6.5 brush. But when I was cleaning the throat area with the 30 cal brush it was a snug fit but it would definitely go down the barrel
I don’t know about putting those oversized Iosso brushes all the way down the barrel. It will hurt when you’re kicking yourself.

So I just started using Thorroclean and not sure I'm doing it right, yes I read the instructions.

After scrubbing with the clean the recommended 10-15 times ( i went 20 I think), ran the soaked flush patches thru. I still had a dirty barrel, even though the patches were coming out clean. Looked with a borescope and could see lots of carbon throughout the barrel.

I grabbed my Butch's and soaked a patch and ran it thru and came out black.

Barrel had 50 rounds on it after fire forming loads.

I think @F Class John has a YT video on his process with ThorroClean/ThorroFlush. I don't want to quote the specifics, but it's roughly similar to what I do - a lot more strokes than what Bullet Central calls for. They have to put out info that will keep any idgit from trashing their barrel; I need to get the dang thing clean, now.
