This will make you call "BS"

I just went to my local distributer and paid less than 20.00 per pound of powder and primers, what they have left still sell for the same price as last year.Bozo, maybe I wasnt clear,I am slamming the gougers not us.I have plenty of most of what I need and always buy more than I need to stock up.

Jon,
I understand what your saying But I see all these people out here crying that they can't find primer's bullets and all other reloading supplies, And I see them bellyaching about paying $60 per 1K primers, I don't like to see this either, in the last week I have took shipment of 2000 bib bullets,...2000 105 vld's 1000 65 grain v-max, and 5000 cci 550's, 5 reamers from Kiff and a couple new barrels, if I want to keep shooting I have to keep buying, My pickup gets 9.2 mpg, diesel is over $4.00 per gallon I drive almost 700 miles round trip to my shooting club, if I want to keep hauling my guns and equipment I have to cough the fuel money up so I can go and if it hits $40.00 per Gallon I will either pay the price and shoot or I won't it's a choice I will have to make when it happens, so far I am willing to pay the prices so I can shoot but crying about it will do me no good and will not buy me one bullet, primmer nor quart of diesel. ;) hope you have a great year this year Jon.

Well, part of the reason I'm here is that seeing the picture of our beloved president ( ??? ) shooting a shotgun just really motivated me to get back actively into the sport. ;) It's been said more than once that Obama's the best gun salesman of all time. I've been going over my collection and making sure everything is in good working order and buying parts here and there, to bring everything up to snuff. I realized that one of the reasons that I've had such trouble doing anything in my shop is that I kept tripping over buckets of brass. 35 years of never leaving a piece of brass behind on the range will do that for you. I gathered up about 25 lbs of .223, 308 & .30-'06 and gave it to my brother. Then I cleaned up 1000 once-fired military .223 and 200 .308 and sold them at a gun show for $70. Also sold some '03A3 parts. I still have to get a bunch of brass sorted and shelved. I took inventory and had enough powder and primers to last several lifetimes. I realized however, that while I had 8 mm Lebel and .30 Mauser dies I didn't have either .38 or 9 mm. (Turns out that I always used other people's progressive presses to load those calibers but they're no longer available.) Bought some .38 Spl dies. I also ordered a chronograph, which is another of those things I used to have free access to but no longer. Still looking for 9 mm dies at a reasonable price and also a Redfield International sight block for a Mod 70. What I'm saying is that I was almost completely out of the market until the election. Now, I'm back but on both the supply and demand sides of the equation. One other thing that's interesting. Last year whenever I went to the range I'd find lots of reloadable brass left behind, either in the bucket or on the ground. Today, it's very hard to come home from a shooting session with more than I brought with me.

I'm not buying, selling, or even shooting ammo right now. Just hunkering down and waiting for the storm to clear. We went through this silliness during the 1990's with primers. It'll pass.

I remember the "Slick Willy" years, that was my eye opener and I swore I'd never let public panic buying stop me from competing again.
