Thinking Of Getting Back Into Prone (Smallbore)

If you are able to shoot prone, the .223 with the new bullets is very competitive in fullbore and palma.
Good luck
Steve Bair
If you only knew my past!
Yeah, that .223 is mine now :D

When I was shooting smallbore prone, I started with a Weaver T-24 (Crosshair + 1/8th MOA dot) for a while then figured, "The T-36 must be better!"

Boy was I wrong. Harder to see through the mirage, more bounce for the days when my position wasn't the best, more bounce on the days that my position WAS the best, and no difference in my ability to aim where I wanted to. Sold it off, and bought another T-24 which I still have today. None of my scopes go past 24x, and I have no reason to believe they're holding me back in any way.

I'll add my voice to the others who have already said this, too: you don't need the Worlds's Finest Rifle Scope to spot your holes at 100 yards here. 1" tube, and a 40 or 44mm objective is plenty, and saving the weight on glass and metal is worth your while.

Good luck!
