I sorta sorta disagree too. The more you understand how something works means the better you can effectively utilize it's capabilities.
With what do you disagree, sorta or otherwise? My post #18 didn't take a position. It described two possible explanations.
Do you believe one setting is good for one distance? That one setting is good for all distances? Or do you think both ideas are equally sound, that a shooter simply has to choose one?
