I am good at all the above but it just does not show on the target .
Taking something that is almost perfect and making it into a B-. I had a very early series 80, matte stainless, Gold Cup. It was actually as accurate as my 70 GC. I was determined to put an extended beavertail on it. I took it to a guy who proceeded to butcher it. Made me sick. Even worse than that, was a VERY early series 80 1911. It had a finish like the best produced series 70s. I took that one to a boob to do some trigger work on it. He gave it back to me with an idiot mark on the formerly perfect frame. That is what I am really good at. Luckily I haven't done that in about 20 years.Things I'm really good at:
Getting to the range
Things I'm not so good at:
Setting up the rest and rear bag
Picking the right caliber
Loading the correct charge
Picking the right bullet
Setting the neck tension correctly
Using the correct primer
Reading the flags correctly
Pulling the trigger at the correct time
Scoring well enough to win a match
What about you?
Funniest one yet...I'm pretty good at locking my rifle, phone, and keys in the car before the match.
I assure you, everyone but me was amused.Funniest one yet...
