The Ultimate Turret Press

They made a pretty good shotgun loader at one time but I've never seen anything like that.

A friend had one. To operate the press you raise the handle, which requires that the bench be very heavy, or bolted to the floor. Truthfully, I do not find it so inconvenient to change dies and shell holders on my presses, especially since I converted my Rockchucker to Hornady's Lock-N-Load system, and I generally use a hand priming tool.

Generally speaking, for pistol reloading, you don’t need anything “special” – A Lee Classic Turret will do just fine. For precision rifle, I keep away from turret press. Like BoyAllen said, changing dies is so easy nowadsays…

I have and use one. It's a great press and makes forming brass for wildcats a breeze. Although I have never done it and never will, but I believe I could change wheel bearings (that is if you changed them anymore !)

Don't misunderstand me, I am not longing for one of these. Do all my loading with a Fred Moreo custom turret press and a Hood. Just saw it and thought it was a curiosity. I do have a set of Hollywood .22 Hornet dies and they are very nice.

Their single stage press (HOLLYWOOD SENIOR) makes my RCBS A-4 look like a toy. Hollywood Gun Shop single had a 2" diameter ram and everything about it is massive. Out of business for a long time. Name was bought out and the new owners played off the rep, never made one of the same quality and had ZERO customer service.
Something in the back of my mind tells me you had to use their dies. They were not 7/8-14......I don't know this for a fact though....one thing for sure.... you were not going to break it!

M-61, the press in this photo appears to have "holes" for both 7/8" dies and the Lyman 310 also. If ever a press attempted to "do it all", this one has to be it.

Pretty cool. But looks like a lot of room for error if loading for top level accuracy. Of course, that's just a guess...

Evenin Sir Charles!
Was reading something recently about the company that bought them out or took over their enterprise...reportedly foreign and also made of junk if they even make them anymore.

100% right Alex....there was a lengthy form of suit action based on misrepresentation including country of origin.
Many of these presses are what you see on e-bay etc. I have zero need for one but would purchase one in a second anyway.( The single stage not the turret press....I consider turret presses suitable for pistol reloading not rifle....I am never in any rush....and changing dies? Never even considered it anything close to a "chore"...but I'm not in a hurry and I reload little pistol ammo) I think you have to see one in person to fully appreciate it. The Hollywood Gun Shop was an interesting place.
