The one powder....

I have 4 lbs of the new 15.5 powder...figured i could come up with a load for the dashers or 22 bra with 105gr-109gr and 80gr-90gr respectively. I am still intrigued by the VV 150 though....one of those " the grass is always greener" deals...rsbhunter

H4895 Is another one, if I saw it, I would buy 8 lbs and pray it worked in my rifles!!!
I would bet it does work in all your rifles. I find it strange that the powders that work the best you cannot find. Not to hijack the thread but has anyone used SW Precision in a .308 win with good results.
edit: not referring to any of the posters but just being able to find good powder that works period. Seems like if it works they are making you look for something else.

I had considered going to H4895, but, like Varget awhile back, it's unobtainium. Does anyone have any experience with World shooter "precision rifle", as compared to Varget? I understand that I'm going to have to drop $300.00-500.00 on an 8 lb-er, but I can't do 2 or 3 at once. Anyway, I appreciate any and all thoughts, advice and input on this ...rsbhunter
I tried Shooter's World Precision. The little experimentation (in .308 cal with 155 grain palma bullets) I did suggested that it has potential. I haven't really given it a good eval owing to time constraints and the fact that this powder is also in relatively short supply. Given my druthers, I would just as soon shoot VV140. But it too is hard to find.

VV N150 is my go to for the 6BR and 105s, I like that it burns cooler than some of the popular choices and cleans up well too. Being able to shoot a screamer at 600 yards with my crappy vision and poor gun handling skills in 95* weather has proven to me at least my powder choice was good. Like the OP said dropping 600 bucks on a couple jugs of powder these days can be a little tough for some of us.
N150 works really well for me in .260 Rem with 136 to 140 grain bullets. Remarkably consistent.
