The Mighty 22-250

Weird, I am at 1000 average and they shoot great. I think it may have more to do with the pressure yout powder creates than elevation. Just a theory.

I have sent my Winchester 22-250 (3rd 22-250 I've owned) to my gun smith to have the action trued, new Krieger Barrel, pillar bedding. This gun always shot good even with factory ammo but my fav load was 36.0 IMR-4895,50gr Vmax, shot in the .1's at 3800fps! BTW this load shoot in one hole in 3 different 22-250's I load for! My hunting buddy in upstate NY said the rifle was haunted, it kills everything I point it at! LOL I will always have a 22-250, it is just an awesome varmint caliber. Great at P-dogs if oyu have the self control not to burn barrel out. I have had 223/ar, 6-47 Lapua custom,25-06 Sendero ( hard time finding right load in the sendero, but when I did it was awesome) and a 6mm rem Ackley custom.
