Teslong bore scopes

Nothing to think about, you need one. I have both plus the new handgun model. I prefer the 21" rigid.

I've reviewed most of them as I believe @bobm has as well and I know we're both big fans as are countless others. From my perspective it really just comes down to how and where you want to use them. Here's a couple reviews of their soon to be released scopes and a couple of their tried and true ones. No matter which one you get, having a borescope will change your world.

Very well done videos, F Class John. I am sure Amazon will see a Teslong sales spike this week. I also have the new softer material flexible unit and like it so far. I advised them that the plug side of the scope needed to be lengthened.

the flexible will do 30 inch barrels easy, I just got mine and it's clear and very easy to use... with the rigid you will have to move to the muzzle

Thank you. Yeah I'm liking that unit too, in fact I combined that with the new Wifi block from the new pistol unit for traveling and love it so far. Great combo. I've told them that they should offer. the Wifi block as a stand alone unit for people. We will see...

Just don't believe everything you see through a borescope. I have seen some horrible looking barrels that shot consistent 1/2" groups and some others that looked great and would not shoot a good group. I look at borescopes as an interesting item but like a lot of other things they can be a bit misleading.

There are a lot of other factors in a good shooting firearm but don't automatically dismiss a barrel because it looks bad.

Thinking about getting one. What model do you guy's recommend the flexible or rigid model.

Ed

Biggest question is what device do you plan to use for viewing? If an IPhone or IPad you are pretty much confined to the WiFi units. If android, Windows based, Chromebook or Mac, any of the models will work fine. Then the choice is one of probe length and material. The original model works great on long barrels fed from the breach. The newer 21" model has the aluminum probe but you may have to view from both ends to cover the entire bore on longer barrels. The handgun model is 10" and is aluminum. It can work with pretty much anything. It can use WiFi, USB, Mini-USB and USB-C connections.

I have all three of the above models as well as the prototype that bobm mentioned with the more durable coating to protect the element from breakage. All of them are easy to use and provide very clear pictures if adjusted properly during use.

Correction needed on the shaft material, SSL. Both my 10" handgun and 21" rigid scopes are made from magnetic stainless steel. A magnet sticks to both. The handles are .625 dia. aluminum.

Sorry, I have no idea why I said aluminum. You are correct.

That is slick!

I was messing with the new yet to be released flexible scope tonight. Got some pictures of brass fit in the chamber. Today I picked up 40 some Barnes once fired .308 brass tossed in the trash barrel. Nice find. Norma?

They were promptly ID chamfered and run into my Redding FL 7mm-08 size die. Cases started out at 2.015 -2.017 length. Came out of the die averaging 2.026-2.027. This rifle chamber measures at 2.050. Plenty of room to grow longer. Still need to remove the primer pocket stake.

This scope came with an additional 35 degree mirror identified with a red colored ring either glued or press fit over the mirror end. I believe this was a thought to deflect light glare away from the camera. It seems to work. However it does change the image angle and gives the brass case photo a curved look. It also shows up as red reflection in the images.

I was just asked by Teslong if I would make this group aware of another new product that just became available. It is their standard 36" flexible scope paired up with it's own screen as shown in F Class John's great video. I am starting to lose track of all this good stuff coming from Teslong.;)

I like the looks of this one!

The Lyman can be had for $270 or cheaper at many places, not as cheap as the Teslong but I prefer it. Way cheaper than $1000+ for a Hawkeye.
