Teslong bore scope

@rsbhunter
That's a form of erosion/pitting from oxidized fouling or ran over fouling (likely that spot is from copper).
That's not to bad at all, seen a lot worse, and new factory barrels with a lot worse troubled spots then that.
Gain some more experience and look down several barrels before you draw much for conclusions, is my advise.

PS: a little extra attention on that spot with Iosso or JB, and it will likely look better.

I didn't draw any conclusions, I don't know enough to draw any conclusions....hence the post...I had been warned about looking down the bore....it still shoots fine, heck it doesn't have maybe 300 rnds total.....That is the confusing part, the new mantra is "don't clean til accuracy falls off"...don't know who to listen to anymore...and I don't do "mag dumps" or even fast shooting...rsbhunter

Ok....WTH is this? Will start a new topic if i should? Cleanung my RRA 223 nmA4 after getting the borescope....i was warned not to look down there!!! It almost looks like etching to me, but what do i know. I have never used, or let sit in my barrel any of the nuclear chemicals...Sweets 7.62, Copper Killer, etc... have been soaking the bore with wipe out accelerator and wipe out foam....The pic is after cleaning with Bore Tech carbon cleaner and Copper cleaner.....any thoughts on what that is??? rsbhunter
That looks like the inside of most rifle barrels. That’s a very minor occlusion in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks for the responses, I figured having the tools, the worse that it meant was changing out the barrel...always looking for a new project...but I'm not going to worry til it starts throwing patterns...rsbhunter

@rsbhunter

Don’t let your bore scope fool you.

Factory Weatherby Vanguard. Borescope from muzzle end. Originally, groups were 2-3.” After fire lapping with David Tubbs system, you see how the bore is mostly smoothed toward the chamber. This barrel now has over 1,000 rounds of 30-06 loads through it. It was borescoped after shooting 20 rounds and being patched 6 times with butches bore shine. This barrel now shoots 3/4 moa with 165 Sierras at 2900 with H4350. With H4831 it will shoot 3/8” groups at 2860 fps. Bores don’t have to be pretty to shoot. This barrel is proof.

Thanks, that makes me feel better....it had been shooting great....probably still does...even after the bore scope !!!!! rsbhunter

I did receive a nice email from Teslong apologizing for the shipping issues.
It was noted in email that they do follow the shooters forums and are always looking for ways to improve
their products. Kudos to them!

It would be awesome if more companies did that....but your right, if they get their shipping speed up, I will order from them again. They were very professional when I cancelled my order, my refund was issued within 12 hours! In my bank in 24 hrs !!!!! I understand the problem with getting stuff into the country, maybe Amazon will either up their stocking levels, or another vendor will pick them up. Either way, I am using the heck out of mine !!!!! rsbhunter

I ordered one from Amazon on Tuesday the 8th of Oct. said delivery between the 11th-14th, It now shows today the 11th out for delivery.

I ordered mine from Amazon on Tuesday evening 10/8 and had it Wednesday afternoon, less than 24 hours. Just one of the very few perks of living near Seattle. Amazon delivers their own stuff around here.

Unfortunately mine did not work. They worked with me to solve the problem but we just couldn’t get it to work. This is their response.

Thank you

We will send you the replacement ASAP.

Regards

While I am disappointed that I am not looking down my barrels, they at least stand behind their product.

I know what my eardrums look like now. :eek:
No wonder I’m hard of hearing.
Seriously, it looks like scar tissue is covering half of my eardrums.
Going to get it checked out.
I know . . . too much information.
