I use Epson Pre-Cut 13" x 19" MATT Photo Paper in my Wide Carriage Printer. Works great. I think it is 110 pound per ream (432,000 square inches).

When I'm testing loads and want to save a Target for future reference , I use a piece of cardboard behind it, like dgeesaman said it works very well.
especially when you are placing your target on a target backer that has been well used.

I picked up this card stock paper at Amazon and have been satisfied with the .22lr hole quality.

This is printer on an HP Ink Jet, shot at 50yds stapled to 1/2" OSB target backer using SK Rifle Match.

Any white paper I can see my hits at 550 yards is fine for me.

Our range has butcher paper on a dispenser for the members use. I keep a couple different sized large washers and Sharpies in my range kit so I always have backup targets.

the contractor that’s working on the house gets really nervous when ya paint the target on so I just started taking it to my shooting range. Haha joke...

Just a small common house fly that kept landing on my target while I was trying to shoot bug holes at 50y..... very satisfying kill.

During the summer we get our fair share of Yellow Jackets at the range, this season I plan on taking some raw hamburger to plug a few bullet holes for enhanced recreation.
