The rumor is they have basically no nodes, just one giant node. I’m curious to see if they ends up being true.

That's non sense. It'll vibrate at a higher frequency and won't have much barrel displacement, err amplitude of vibration. IME, barrels like that can shoot well but are hard to tune the last bit out of. Depending on application, it may shoot well enough for many even when out of tune. I assume that's what they are referring to.

I've had barrels like that, that will shoot decent all the time but don't show tune changes distinctly on target. In the end, they can shoot just well enough to get beat. I have one like that now...It's hell when it's well but it's difficult to tune to its potential, even using a tuner. If the barrel won't tell me when it needs tuning, I don't know what will.

I've come to like barrels that have more deflection, to a point. They clearly show when it's out of tune. Everyone's expectations are different though and the barrel in the op may give accuracy that is more than acceptable to some, without the weight of an equally rigid solid barrel. With a solid barrel, length is far more critical to stiffness than diameter. For example, a 28" 1.25 straight actually has more muzzle displacement than a say, 23" hv contour, and they tune easily. IMO, for br type of accuracy, hyper stiff or hyper flimsy is hyper bad. Everything in moderation. Just my 2 cents worth.
 
Thank you for helping to quantify what I was trying to explain to my brain about the notion of having “one giant node”. In my head I knew I had a reason to question it but this quote helps describe why perfectly.
