Tack Driver II

If you are needing a hotel for this event, call the TRU by Hilton in Orangeburg. I have a rate code set up for $85 per night, but you have to talk to the front desk of the hotel. Rate code number is 3278923. Thanks JC

What are the flag height requirements at the range.

I have flags that will go all the way to the ground and up to about 7 feet. I have several that are larger to see better out past 200 yards.

I plan on setting 6 flags.

I hope you guys are pulling my leg.

seriously, I have time to build some tall flag stands. With a six or seven flag set, how many have to be ultra tall. By ultra tall, I mean more than 10 ft. Tell me what I need to build and I will build it.

In short, I don’t think anybody wants to drive half way across the Country just to be guessing.

Give @jcline a call
he can help answer specifically. No leg pulling at all
Jim can probably put you on a bench and relay with someone planning on Sponsoring a flag set

I thought he would not have a specific flag set like we do at National Events. Kind of run what ya brung.

I would be more than glad to build a set of flags for this Match.

You only move one time, at the end of Saturday. Then you move your flags to the new bench. There are a good number of local shooters who have the tall flags that are needed. Bench partners will need to get together and set the flags they need and want.

Registration is in the mail. Getting excited for this one. I haven’t shot short range in about 30 years!

See everyone there. Safe travels.
Dave.

Not at all. The targets are on top of a 20' tall berm that has it's own berm.Screenshot_20211009-124009_Gallery.jpg
On top of the dirt. Flags seen are for 200yds.

I guess these ultra tall flags are an attempt to see the last flags in the scope.

As a heads up shooter, I don’t particularly care about seeing flags in the scope. As long as I can see one over the other as they progress downrange, I’m fine.

Jim told be I will be sharing a bench with Joe Duke, and Joe had things covered.

Having flags out that far is why they are looked at with the scope. Cant tell dirrection nor wind speed with eye alone.

BIG daisy wheels are slow to act.
Small daisy hard to see.
Flags 15' below target tells little or nothing ....imo

Non joystick rest = flags need more to be near line of sight.

Down to twenty days to go time! Better get those rifles tuned up!

Dave.
