I was thinking of this the other day. Id like to see that design but in a modernized housing. Maybe anodized aluminum housing with the Jewell internals. The side plates where the problem I believe.

I was thinking some large manufacturer such as Timney would purchase the design.
Remember, The Jewel more or less predated a lot of ultra modern machining practices. I really do not know if the supplier changed their manufacturing process through the decades.
The single stage Benchrest trigger at 1 ounce that guys like us love does not appeal to the majority of the buying public. The line of “Jewel Triggers” must include models with safeties, bolt releases, and perhaps even a dual stage model to appeal to all Disciplines. It might be difficult to incorporate a feature such as that in the basic design.

Right now, I have Jewels on all three of my primary Benchrest Rifles. The Bix & Andy units are backups.

There are 2 for sure 7mm’s coming from what I was told! Eric Corrina and Bret Solomon are bringing theirs and expecting great results. Will the 6mm’s fall to the 7mm’s this year or will a 30 finally win it? I will let you know on 11-2-25!
