Tack Driver 6 LIVE RESULTS

I want to thank you all for the congratulations! As I stated in the awards ceremony to thank our Lord Jesus for the fellowship he allowed us to share! A huge shout out to Ben, who shot with relentless diligence in both score and group and became the well deserved overall winner! To my brother Dick "The HAMMER" Powers, who is the epitome of a true Southern Gentleman, and the purveyor of the best damn pound cake I have ever eaten, a big congratulations and hug from your Texas brother!
I have to mention Wayne Campbell who for the second year sat besides me and elbowed me in the ribs every time I was about to make a jackass shot!
Jim Cline and his family have built a world class event and I can't thank him enough for his effort and the entertainment he brings to this shoot, without Jim there is no Tack Driver! God Bless Jim and his family for the grace and hospitality he shares with all!
Oh yeah! Almost forgot F-Class John says "this is to easy and that he shoots so fast that we could not keep up with him! So, if you visit his channel let him know that the toughest game in town is now looking for his presence, now that Erik Cortina and Bret Solomon proved F-Class shooters and be pretty tough in this game. Both Erik and Bret are already prepping for next year....Let's see if F-Class John can be as tough on the bench as he is behind the camera!
Keep'em Small til next year, Ellie will be editing tomorrow for a run down of the big show as will Erik!
Speedy

PS: If there are spelling and grammatical errors I haven't slept since 4:00 am yesterday morning according to my new Walmart watch that has a chip set to the Atomic Clocking in Colorado! So if you need to know the correct time just ask me anytime, the answer will be gnats ass correct!

I’ve been fortunate enough to have participated in all the tackdriver events and have been amazed every year at how smooth the match goes. It’s no small feat to move that many people and that much equipment two days in a row. Heck just getting 1400 targets labeled for a match like this is a huge job. Yet, Jim pulls it all together every year. If you’ve attended one of the events then you know for him it’s a family event, wife Tammie keeps the stats and ALL the shirts and merchandise flowing. Son Hunter runs the target crew and daughter Ashley helps when she can get away from her normal job. Like Jim calls this a family reunion with a “shooting” over the weekend, and to him and his family I THANK you all for the hard work and dedication you give to us shooters! I’d also like to thank our RSO Ken that calls all our matches at the burg, nobody does a finer job than Ken!

As for the match, congratulations Speedy, HAMMER and Benjamin!!! All three of y’all deserve accolades for some fine dang shooting this weekend! Benjamin deserves a ton of praise for kicking our butts this weekend! Already making plans for next year!

To back up what many have said, for me personally this is the most fun match I have ever been to. Doesnt matter if I shoot or dont shoot. The food is excellent and they feed you often, really you only need to worry about breakfast if you want it. The variety of people you get to meet and talk to is over the top. The fun atmosphere is like to other match I have been to. Guys want to win but no one is too serious. Theres plenty of good jokes and other follies I wont post here. Zero drama. Some think 300M is not that hard. I get that but your trying to shoot dots. Its HARD. But all disciplines can be competitive. Look at Mark N. on the results. He never looked at a flag and was in the 20s overall and beat a lot of really good shooters. So dont think its a short range game. Its far enough to challenge everyone.
I have to whole heartedly agree with Alex! If nothing else come out and visit with all of those you hear about and watch on YouTube and learn from the best in the world.

132 registered shooters for Tack Driver 7 as of this morning! That leaves 8 more spots for the first 8 applications I receive. If you wish to be added to the waiting list, please call me or send me a PM
mine is coming FedEx I sure hope I make it in Lee Gardner

Plus one for everything Willytp said. Like him, I have also made every Tackdriver. At the first one I was the only Texan there. This year I believe there were 12 Texans there. That shows the draw when you will drive 1,300 miles for a match.
My performance in the match has slipped fairly badly the last couple of years. But I go back to see the good friends I have made over the years. Heck, they even welcome me to shoot score matches with them. Its just like being at home. You cant beat that!

And Willytp is one of those friends.

This was my third Tack Driver I have been to. Attending TD IV was my motivation for learning how to
walk again using a prosthetic foot. I began physical therapy 6/12/2023. For all those that offered to help
me at this TD and last year's, a big thank you!!! A big thank you To Jim Cline and family for putting on
this shooting event. I'm sorry Jim that I didn't do better with your "magic bullets" but I'll try to do better
at TD VII next year. My excuse, was not doing much shooting this season due to a heart issue, but I now
have a new Aortic heart valve with a 100,000-mile warranty and I'll be back next year for TD VII. Happy
Thanksgiving and hope Texas A&M beats Texas, going 12-0 in the SEC and final college football playoffs.

I would like to give a shout out to all of the Sponsors who contribute to the Tack Driver and make all of the food and other amenities possible.
My business, R.C. Schmidt & Sons Inc have been a major contributor for all of the Tack Drivers except #1.

We have already paid in our sponsorship for Tack Driver VII.

While my Business has nothing to do with the Shooting Sports, the vast majority of Sponsors do, so support them as they support the Tack Driver.IMG_1212.jpegIMG_1213.jpeg
