Tack Driver 5

More “good news”. I’m over run with it.

Lately, I have noticed that when out in shipyards, climbing around, walking up and down long gang planks, and even at the range setting flags, I have been getting really short of breath. So, a few weeks ago, I went and had a cardio work up, which included a stress test, EKG, and Ultra Sound on my heart.

Dr Hickey request I do a Heart Cath, which he performed yesterday.

I have an 80% blockage in two arteries. They could not install stints yesterday because of my severely compromised kidneys, so next Monday they will go in and install the stints.

This is a very common procedure, except in my case they have to work around my kidney function, which is at about 27% now. The contrast die they use in these procedures is not kind to kidneys, so the main goal is to get the stints in place while avoiding any more damage to my kidneys.

Dr Hickey, my cardiologist, is working in close partnership with my Kidney Doctor to lay down the best plan of attack.

Dr Hickey, an avid shooter and a fellow member of my Gun Club, is insistent that all of this gets done so as to not interfere with my being at The Tack Driver. He said I was smart to notice things were not right, and got in before something bad happened. (Heart Attack).

I’m hoping for the best.

So, how is your day going?,
Hang in there Jackie. You normally bounce back quickly. Hope all goes well with the stints.

Jackie, I hope things work out for you. You are so generous sharing your knowledge.

Praying for you sir! Looks like you've taken pretty good care of yourself throughout the years and that sure counts!

Here is what I have for the people that have registered a cartridge or caliber so far. Still have 21 people undecided. Final decision is before 1st shot Saturday morning

Thank you Jim, that definitely made it simpler!

The cards are now on the table.
Almost half the field (47%) going with 6PPC, a strong statement.
6BR and variants taking 31.3%.
30BR and variants at about 15%.
