T3 break in?

Friend is bringing a 308 for me to set up, woo-hoo! i already did one for a friend and loved it!!! this is #2

What is in the inside of the barrel to clean out?

do they come in Cosmoline or some treatment from the factory?

yes, i will clean it first but what am i really after to remove?
i use BoreTech and have :
rimfire
shotgun
eliminator
carbon cleaner
copper cleaner

Hoppes 9
Breakfree CLP
Ballistol
Kroil
Flitz
JB Paste

and more but you get the point ;-)

OR is it ready to go! just shoot

If it is new just mop the bore with Hoppes #9 and dry patch out. Those barrels are nicely finished and do not need any special attention from new.

Best way is to unscrew the factory barrel, screw on a bartlein or krieger and just shoot and not worry about break in. Sorry they are good factory rifles but they go to another level with really good barrels on them

NOT my gun to make that call. He is using it in the woods for deer and will never even get a 200 of 300yd shot. It will serve his purpose quite well, with a 2.5x8x36 Leupold

Just clean it usual way. Sako has told here in Finland that there is no need to make anything spesific to new gun/barrel. And barrel is cold hammered.
