Switching from Moly to HBN

I have been shooting moly in my 6XC for some years now, and while it has worked very well for me in terms of ease of cleaning, I want to switch to HBN. Is it as simple as just stopping using the moly and starting with HBN, or must I scrub out the moly from the barrel first?

I see vast amounts of scrubbing in your future....

A friend of mine, a successful competitive Benchrest shooter, uses moly on his bullets and runs a slurry of HBM in the barrel before shooting.

There would seem to be no incompatibility problem.

On this note, he seems to be double dipping, lol, has he ever chrono'd from 1st to the last shot to see if hbn wears out?
Or better yet, what is he getting hbn to dissolve with?

I switch from Moly to HbN and back all the time; no problems. However, I clean after every range session and I wet Moly coat. The Moly is very thin and very smooth, shiny almost like dark chrome plating; not like the fluffy dry coated versions I've seen some people use. Some of them shoot bullets which look like a breaded chicken fried steak, except black.
