Keep in mind that the Z6's with ballistic turret have limited elevation adjustment due to their design. My 2.5-15x44 Z6 has only 4.6 mils of elevation adjustment. That's good to 750 yards with my rifle, but that's it.Thanks for all of the replies. I guess this is where I am undecided. I currently shoot both Leupold (no z5’S or 6’s) and Nightforce. I have always had great luck with the accuracy and repeatability of the Nightforces, but was interested in possibly going with a lighter scope on my next build. I am just not familiar enough with the reliability of the z6’s as for as turret twisting goes. I had read a while back where several people were complaining about this with the Leupold, but can’t remember which model or models it was....
Tony.
I would say the Z6i are in a totally different class. I have ballistic turrets on both of mine. They work well. The glass and low light capability are second to none. I’ve been out deer stalking at last knockins and been able to see deer through the scope (and my Swaro binoculars) when I can’t see anything with the naked eye. My Z6i are both 2.5-15x 56mm. They don’t have the magnification for long distance target shooting but for hunting they’re awesome.
